Picardie revisited after 35 years

In October 1975 I arrived at a small village in Northern France with a rucksack and a dictionary. I spent 4 months in the village of Franleu with a group of Compagnons Batisseurs – volunteers. We were building a house for a housing association.
I learned at lot about building and the roles of volunteers as agents of social change. I also learned to speak this strange Gallic language. Yesterday I re visited Franleu – the video tells the tale.
