NIACE wins UNESCO prize for ICT

It truly was a surprise to discover last week that NIACE has been awarded first prize in the UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technologies in Education. This really has repaid years of hard work from a dedicated team at NIACE supported by trainers and consultants who all contributed to making a real difference for adult learners – especially marginalised groups.

I am very proud to be a part of the team that achieved this. The challenge is for NIACE to find ways to use its leading position to help and support others working in the same field.
